INTRODUCTION First and Foremost , the Affordable Care Act also know as Obama Care was created so our citizens in the United States can all have affordable insurance for the people of this country. The Obama Care is very similar to Canada’s healthcare system. For example , the healthcare system in Canada system is a group of socialized health insurance plans that provides coverage to all Canadian citizens. It is publicly funded and administered on a provincial or territorial basis, within guidelines set by the federal government ( Canadian Health Care n.d. 2016 ). The United States wanted a similar health care system to make sure the americans who don’t have insurances have the ability to be insured . My topic is on The Affordable care Act/ Obama care . I’ve decided to write my subject report on the Obama care, because it affects everyone in the United States even those were insured prior to the Obama Care insurance plan. Affordable care act is also a very controversial discussion that I was to discuss the pro’s and con’s that comes with it . SUMMARY The Obama care was signed into the law by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010 and upheld by the supreme court on June 28, 2012 (ObamaCare: Pros and Cons of ObamaCare.) The law didn’t take effect until January 1st 2014. From my research I ve concluded that the Obama care took awhile for it to go into full effect.
